Today we will be operating our Classic Whale Watching on our lovely vessel Hafsúlan at 9:00 and 13:00. Our Premium Whale Watching departure times are 10 am

  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00, 13:00
  • PREMIUM WHALE TOUR |10:00
  • PREMIUM WHALE TOUR |11:00, 14:00, 15:00

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsulan: We sailed out through the heavy wind heading directly South for maximum comfort on this stereotypically Icelandic morning. In the mist we first had our luck seeing 2 fast minke whales close to the shore. Sadly, they didn't reappear again, leaving us with the only sighting of the tour. We headed back home with a complimentary tour, hoping for better weather next time.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: As the afternoon started the sun decided to come out and the sky started to clear slightly, the wind also decreased and so did the waves. We left the Reykjavik harbour sailing south along the coast in direction to Hafnarfjörður which we could see from a distance. We sailed from over 2 hours and as we were about to give up and entering the Reykjavik harbour once more we saw a minke whale!!! We saw it resurfacing for a couple of times before it disappeared completely from our sight. We decided to return to port as we were running out of time, but since the encounter was very brief we gave complementary tickets to our costumers that would like to try their luck one more time in Faxaflói bay!
