Tour at 17:00

Report from Elding: The wind had picked up a bit and the weather looked quite rainy. Not as much life out on the bay as previously, but nonetheless we found the Humpback whale again which we observed for a while, before we went to look for the Minke whales. We had a brief look at a couple of Minke whales, but they didn't seem to be feeding so much as this morning and this afternoon. This trip though we spotted a seal which was a nice surprise!

Report from Hafsúlan: The wind was a bit stronger in the afternoon, but the conditions were still good. We didn‘t spot any minke whales (!) but saw the humpback whale and two seperate groups of very active dolphins. The white beaked dolphins were jumping high in the air and playing around and we could see the splashes from far away. On the way back we enjoyed the beautiful scenery :) A nice way to finish the day, indeed!

Tour at 13:00

Report from Elding: Again the weather was amazing, the sea was completely flat and the sun was out. We spotted a few groups of white-beaked dolphins, and again we found an area similar to the morning trip. We even saw the sand eels under the surface, which the birds and whales were feeding on! The sea seemed to be shimmering silver with these small fish just under the surface. A few of the Minke whales were lunge feeding, which was really great to observe. We got some Minke whales very close to the boat. After we left the Minke whales, we found the same Humpback whale as this morning and had a look at it too. Another fantastic trip! :D

Report from Elding II: There were many passengers today, so we went out on Elding II as well! The weather was still beautiful, and we spotted minke whales, white beaked dolphins and the same humpback whale as in the 9 o‘clock tour.

Tour at 9:00

Report from Elding: This morning we had perfect weather for whale watching. We found an area where there were lots of feeding birds, and also lots of whales. We switched off the engines and let the boat just drift on the surface and we had probably 20-30 Minke whales in this area always surfacing everywhere we looked. Many of them approached the boat so we got a great look at the whales up close. The star of the show was a young calf which was very curious, it surfaced again and again almost touching the boat. A fantastic experience! We also spotted some white beaked dolphins and a Humpback whale on the trip, and towards the end, we saw the Humpback whale raise its flukes out of the water. A really amazing trip, one of the best this season! :D

Report from Hafsúlan: The weather was beautiful this morning, calm sea and very little wind.  There were minke whales all over the place, many flocks of feeding birds everywhere  and we were also able to spot a minke whale lunge feeding in the surface. A lot of life out on the bay this morning! And as if that wasn´t enough, we also got close to a humpback whale! Very nice morning!
