CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 0900

Report from Hafsúla: What a great day in our beautiful bay! We sailed out in a rainy and windy day, a typical kind of day in Iceland! We left the harbour and not long after we saw a minke whale! We spent some time with it and then continued to find other species! We had to be very patient because we did not see anything for quite long until...a small pod of white-beaked dolphins popped up! They were super playful and joyful and started to jump around and show off! It was a gorgeus tour!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 1300

Report from Hafsulan: We set off in a drizzle today, but nevertheless excited about what was ahead of us. After some searching around, we were rewarded with a pod of white beaked dolphins! Not too long after, we also spotted a minke whale. This one was quite elusive, so we travelled onwards rather quickly. A little while later, we spotted our second minke, and not too far from there, a Humpback whale. We saw it take a few nice, deep dives and got a quick look at its fluke as well. Despite the fact we saw quite a few species today, we only managed to spot them for a really short time each: All of them seemed to be diving long and deep so because of this, we handed out complementary tickets to the passengers. This way they can come again in the future and have a better look at these beautiful animals.
