CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: Our morning started with sunny skies and a slight breeze as we sailed west. We travelled for about an hour before we had any signs of wildlife around. We started to approach an area with multiple flocks of birds flying around in circles over our heads and we decided to wait and see if something else was in this location. We had some exciting news!! Another boat spotted a big blow! we approach them slowly and we first saw a minke whale!! Resurfacing a couple of times in front of us! Then we see another blow! It was a humpback whale!! Then another minke was spotted!! Amazing !! they were all feeding in the same area! Unfortunately it was then time to go home and we headed back to the harbour with a smile!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsulan: what a gorgeous afternoon of whale watching! The weather improved dramatically from the morning, and even though there was still some wind, the skies were clear and the temperature very pleasing. We sailed straight out into the bay and we enjoyed the company of plenty of puffins and Atlantic fulmars. After around 45 minutes, passengers spotted the first Minke whale, and we stayed with it for a little while before pushing on for more sightings. After another few moments, a large group of sea birds caught our eye, and eventually, in the middle of them, we spotted 2 humpback whales. Just a little after that we saw another Minke whale, bringing the total count to 2, and then a large group of white beaked dolphins, around 10 of them, joined the action. We came back enjoying the beautiful weather and everybody was delighted.
