It was a long tour this afternoon! We started with the puffin island where we saw many, many of the cute little birds sitting and flying around. Far out in Faxaflói bay we found a nice group of dolphins that we were able to enjoy very much. They didn´t approach the boat but
It was rainy this morning when we went out but surprisingly it turned to be a very exciting tour! In fact, we had one sighting of a minke whale with which we stayed around 40 min. This
In the afternoon we really had to be patient. We had to sail for quite a while and we went much further out than usual to find some whales. We were almost about to give up when we spotted a group of white-beaked dolphins. It seemd that they had a calf so they were a bit shy.

Although the wind picked up a little bit, observation conditions were still very good. Close to coast we spotted two minke whales and several groups of harbour porpoises. We went to Puffin Island as well and watched the teeming puffin colony...
It had started to rain but the sea still was very calm - this tour staretd also with spotting some Harbour porpoises but they were more in a distance. Two groups of White-beaked Dolphins were spotted a little bit later, one with a calf and rather shy, keeping their distance,

Although the first trip was packed with wildlife we had no luck on this second. Only a few harbour porpoises appeared and disappeared fastly next to our boat. Still we could enjoy the puffin crowd on Puffin Island

Again we went out quite far in good weather conditions. Closer to the so called Whale Fiord we observed a minke whale feeding in association with sea birds. Another time we had some beautiful encounters with Puffins close to the boat.

Another tour in really nice weather conditions, very sunny and calm sea but again it prooved to be very difficult to find the whales. A blow was spotted by one of our boats but the whale did not show up again.

Still the wind was rough and cold. We searched in Faxafloi for whales and had a short but very close and clear sighting of harbour porpoises. Nice watch! Due to the wind speed we headed back to the Old Harbour soon afterwords.

We went out with two boats on this morning trip. Great sunshine, good visibility, no rain but a strong northeastern wind... . This 12m/s wind speed prevented us from spotting the minke whales and harbour porpoises
Again we had fantastic weather in the afternoon and perfect whale watching conditions. There was no wind and we could easily spot the whales from far away. Like this morning the whales were close to land and after sailing just a short time we spotted the first minke whales
