First Minke Whale of the Season Spotted in Faxaflói Bay
Is it spring already? Yesterday’s afternoon tour from Reykjavík brought a very exciting surprise: the first minke whale of the year. Minke whales are often one of the earliest signs of the changing seasons, so seeing one right at the start of February felt especially special.
While this species becomes much more common later in spring and summer, an early sighting like this is always a memorable moment for both our crew and passengers, and a promising sign of what may be ahead in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned!
