Hólmasól (formerly Fjørtoft and Codrington Arrow) was manufactured by AA MARINE BRODRENE - HYEN, NORWAY in 1988. Prior to joining the Elding family spent some time in Norway, England and the Caribbean (st. Kitts and Nevis) as a ferry boat.

A specially modified wildlife viewing ship that provides great comfort and stability on the seas. There is plenty of indoor seating with table, a small cafeteria selling drinks, snacks and sandwiches. It has incredible "Wildlife Viewing Decks" in the front and back of the ship, offering unparalleled and wide sweeping panoramic views of the surroundings and whales. This unique ship also offers sheltered outside seating areas. Hólmasól (a catamaran) is a great whale watching boat with it's several outdoor viewing platforms and a specally designed cinema style sightseeing platform on the front. It's also equipped with large indoor saloons, an board café and several lavatory facilities. It is well suited for exclusive tours and dinner cruises for larger groups. Hólmasól is primarily used for our Akureyri tours.
