Boarding is through our stationary boat, Fífill, which also serves as a Visitor Center, Wildlife Exhibition, Café and Souvenir Shop. Make sure to stop by our office and exchange your voucher for boarding ticket(s) and we will show you where to go.

How to get here:

Walking

Our ticket office is no more than 300m away from the nearest tourist information office in the city centre and only about 5-10 minutes walk from Harpa Concert Hall. We are well withing walking distance from most hotels in the 101 area and thus recommend walking as it is good for the planet a well as your health, plus it saves you money on the transfer!

Pick-up

If you do need to be collected for your tour, then you can easily book a pickup from your hotel or nearest bus station. Return transfer is 2.200 ISK per person and collection starts 45 min. prior to tour departure with dropoff straight after the tour. See our pickup locations here: https://elding.is/pickup-locations

Bus connections

Given our central location, bus connections are good. Lækjartorg station is only 600m from our ticket office with most buses stopping there quite frequently. Walking from Lækjartorg should not take more than 5-10 minutes, but you could also take bus n°14 which stops at Mýrargata, only 200m from us. A single fare for adults is 440 ISK and about half price for youth, children, elderly, and disabled: https://straeto.is/en

Driving

There are four parking zones in Reykjavík and the way to know which zone you are in is to look at the P-signs that are located on lamp posts around the city and the meters and ticket machine also display which zone they are in. The basic rule is that the closer you are to Laugavegur (main shopping street) and the downtown area the higher the zone. Please note that your tour may prolong and therefore we recommend making sure you have paid for at least 4-5 hr.s of parking, just in case. Parking fines can cost anywhere from 2.500 ISK (if you do not pay for parking or if time is up) to 40.000 ISK for parking in a restricted area.
