Sightings: the forecasted level of activity was still 2/9 when we sailed off so we were hopeful in light of that we have often had decent lights even when the forecast was just 1. However, tonight the thick cloud cover was our enemy; most of the evening you could not see much of the skye and when there were openings, beautiful as the stars were though, no northern lights were spotted at any point. As a result, we offered all passengers complimentary return tickets so that they can come back on another northern lights cruise free of charge within the next two years.
