Report from Eldey: Another night of dancing northern lights! It was a cold night with partly cloudy skies and a little wind, but an amazing calm ocean. The forecast was promising and this week we had seen such good shows of Aurora Borealis in the night skies that we couldn't help but expect this night to be as amazing. We got dressed up in warm overalls and started to scan the sky above us, eagerly waiting for any lights to start forming. We had waited for about an hour when suddenly the sky above Mt Esja started to light up. A big green arch and a few light patches getting stronger and more intense right before our eyes, "dancing" and creating different shapes against the dark starry background! They faded out after a little moment (giving us time to enjoy a hot chocolate in between) only to start again 15 minutes later, not to leave us anymore during the tour. We got an amazing light show that lasted for over an hour and got us to see everything the auroras have to offer: coronas over our heads, cascades of light falling everywhere... It was hard to look just at one spot! Absolutely a day to remember with Elding.
