Tour status: RUNNING

Tour at 21:00

Report from Hafsúlan: It was great to get back out on the sea again after 5 nights of cancellations. It was snowing heavily to start and continued snowing until we got to our shelted spot behind the island of Viðey and then it was nice a calm with the odd snowflake falling. The clouds started to scattered and star constellations appear such as Orion´s Belt. It clouded over again and started to hail. It was time to start travelling home and strong winds suddenly picked up making the ride home quite bumpy and some green faces started to show too. However, the strong winds pushed the clouds away fast and just 10 minutes from reaching the harbour the northern lights appeared. Whoo hoo! everyone raced to the side of the boat and came upstairs. What a lovely surprise right at the end of the tour, we found a sheltered area and watched the northern lights before they disappeared and we went home. Always bring patience and optimism.
