Report from Eldey: The forecasts indicated good chances to see the northern lights, with a Kp index of 3. Half of the sky was clear, spotted with stars and brightened up by the almost ful moon. While sailing around the islands of Kollafjörður we admired the Imagine Peace Tower from up close and the constellations of Cassiopeia, Perseus, Cepheus, Andromeda and the Whale. Out of the blue, the northern lights gradually appeared, first looking like grey clouds, then lighting up with green color, formed long stripes across the sky and started dancing actively.
