NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
Report from Eldey: Today the sky was perfect. No cloud, no moon. It was just the stars and the Imagine Peace Tower illuminating the sky. The sea was calm and the kp expected was on 2. We had a very faded arch of northern light right in the beginning. We went behind the island next to Reykjavik and waited hoping that the activity would get stronger. In the meantime we observed the stars, Mars and Jupiter being also clearly visible. The arch slowly got stronger and more visible, sometimes fading sometimes getting brighter again. The shape of the arch changed like expanding more in the night, painting the Big Dipper in green. We were observing the lights when an shooting star drew a bright line of fire in the sky! Impressive! We stayed until the northern lights got more discrete and went back to the harbour.
