NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Eldey: We entered into the night with flat seas and it looked as it was bathed with black amber colour, as the moon was hidden just behind our planet, something that will be beautiful for those who tomorrow can contemplate the total solar eclipse in the southern hemisphere, and a good thing for us too, since there was not going to be moonlight that could interfere with our northern lights hunting. The prediction foreshowed that the clouds would open throughout the night, leaving us glance over the constelations, colourful planets, and perhaps northern lights.

The forecasts predicted moderate chances of seeing auroras (3/9). Early on, however, we already started seeing green hues through our cameras, as camera usually captures the lights long before our eyes can. We were waiting for those hues to get stronger, and eventually they did, this time easily visible to the naked eye. The cruise became something magical full of music, in which not only our guests danced but we ended up seeing green lights dancing as well. We were witnesses of such a spectacular phenomenon.
