NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE| 21:00
Report from Hafsulan: With a Kp index of 3, mostly clear skies, and a beautiful moon, we set sail hoping that the lights would shine bright this evening. As we sailed out right away we could see Northern lights! We had consistent northern lights that would build and the fade, for the entire evening. We then had them build so that there were three green bands shining bright in the sky and even dancing for us. As a grand finally, they exploded and we could clearly see the green with our naked eye, as they danced in front of us. It was so special to have them consistently with us for the entire tour, keeping us on our toes and then gave us a brilliant show. After a wonderful display, the lights faded and it was time to head back to port. On our way back, we admired the great view of the Reykjavik City skyline. We also stopped by Viðey Island to take a look at the Imagine Peace Tower. Since it will only be lit for the next few days it is always a treat to view it so close from the water. What a wonderful evening!

Few natural phenomena are as mesmerising as the aurora borealis. These shifting curtains of colour sweep across the polar skies, painting them in hues of green, pink, and violet. While their appearance may seem unpredictable, scientists have developed ways to understand when and where they might occur and by studying the activity levels, we can estimate the likelihood of seeing them.
