NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 2100

Report from Eldey: Despite overcast conditions we set out with hope and excitement of finding northern lights tonight. The conditions were expected to become more clear throughout the night so we hoped this would happen. We could see many fireworks from Reykjavik celebrating the last day of Christmas. This was really nice to see. With the moon being so bright we also had a great view of Mount Esja covered in snow and some fireworks in the foreground. The moon may have hindered our chances of northern lights with it being so bright though. As the night carried on we started to lose a bit of hope as it became cloudier too. Therefore, we offered all passengers complimentary tickets in the hope they can come back very soon to see some auroras.
