NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 2100

Report from Eldey: After the amazing lights last night we were very excited at the prospect of this happening again. We set off with a clear night sky which is perfect for seeing northern lights. The wind had also calmed down from earlier in the day so it wasn't as cold which was nice. Very early on we got a glimpse of a green light on our cameras. This started to grow so we could then see a faint northern light in the sky. This unfortunately did fade a bit. This was our story throughout the night; we would be able to see northern lights grow in an arch shape over Akranes and Akrafjall before they faded again. About halfway through our tour they began to get stronger and started to dance. This was amazing to see. Once these lights had faded we were worried this might be the end. But we were very wrong. The arch we had seen earlier grew and grew and got much brighter. It was impossible to miss. We ended the tour seeing this the whole way back to Reykjavik which was great!
