Report from Eldey: Tonight we sailed in to Faxaflói bay with hopes to see some northern lights. Unfortunately the day before no northern lights were spotted but the sky was clear and the kp index was a 2 more than enough to see some northern lights in Iceland, in case they appear. The wind was quite strong and from the north making it quite a cold night. But the hopes of the auroras showing up in the sky were higher than the temperature. The stars were shining and sky was clear but unfortunately no lights appeared. Eventually we had to start to head back to the harbour, and the captain with the rest of the crew decided to give complementary tickets to the passengers, for them to be able to join another tour with elding to see some northern lights.
