NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
Report from Eldey: Tonight we were expecting an activity with Kp index of 3, which is already more than enough to see in Iceland! We started our tour and, within 20 min of tour, we started seeing very faint green Northern lights almost on the top of Esja. We waited for them to get stronger but they started to disappear. Nature, of course! We still could see many stars in the sky, which made us hopeful. With our cameras we could still see a very tiny bit of green in the sky, but the clouds were on top of it. So, as we were running out of time and we couldn't see the lights, we decided to give out complimentary tickets so the passengers can have another chance of seeing them better next time!¨

Few natural phenomena are as mesmerising as the aurora borealis. These shifting curtains of colour sweep across the polar skies, painting them in hues of green, pink, and violet. While their appearance may seem unpredictable, scientists have developed ways to understand when and where they might occur and by studying the activity levels, we can estimate the likelihood of seeing them.
