Report from Eldey: We set off tonight with lots of hope due to the great forecast we had seen. As we headed out of the harbour there were some clouds in the sky but we could still see some stars. This was really nice and meant if the aurora activity were to increase we would see it. Then through the clouds we started to see some green northern lights. They were being kept hidden a bit by the clouds making it difficult to see. With our naked eyes we could see it was brighter here but using cameras/ phones you could see the green. On these we could see beautiful green areas and arches in the sky. Unfortunately instead of the clouds clearing for us to see the lights they in fact got thicker. Later on, an arch also did appear in the sky. We then decided to give out complimentary tickets so hopefully our passengers can come back and see the lights at their fullest with less clouds.
