NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 22:00
Report from Elding: We set sail on Elding today, with a kp index of 3 and starry sky - all good conditions for this evenings tour. Everyone filled up on whale punches and off we went. At first there was a very faint line in the north but tricky to see with the human eye. We continued sailing as the further from town, the less lights to distract our eyes. Then suddenly - much clearer lines! They were still white to us but the camera picked up the green! The lights were forming above Esja and becoming brighter and bolder, until eventually they were even above our heads. They were dancing clearly and even had hints of red now. We were all in awe and enjoyed the brilliant display until it was time to head back. As we returned to the harbour we could see Jupiter, the Imagine Peace tower and still more northern lights dancing in the distance.
