NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 2100

Report from Eldey: We set off from Reykjavik harbour full of hope and excitement. The conditions tonight were perfect for spotting northern lights. We had a completely clear sky with no clouds and a very dark night sky. The solar activity was a 3 on the Kp index. This is all we can ask for before going on a tour. The moon tonight shone very brightly which was beautiful to see, it is very nearly at a full moon! We could also see every star in the night sky as well as Jupiter and Mars. As we sailed out we got to see the Imagine Peace Tower too. Northern lights require luck and patience so we kept waiting for something to appear whilst admiring Reykjavik from the sea. Unfortunately our patience was not rewarded and we did not see any lights. Therefore, all passengers were offered complementary tickets to come back in the future and have another chance to see the lights.
