NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 22:00

Report from Eldey : We headed out with barely any wind and some partially clouded skies. The kpð index tonight is expected to be of 2 out of 9, which is one of the most commonly expected activity. As we started our trip we observed the illuminated building of reykjavik such as Harpa or the Church in the distance. We made our way around to Viðey looking toward Mount Esja hoping the activity will pick up in the north and be observable between the holes in the clouds. There it was our first northern light, we started to observe some faint activity in our left side that started to get a bit greener, so our naked eye could even see it for a good 2 to 5 minutes. It is still missing an hour to the end of the trip so we are quite hopeful we will get to notice some activity again. Unfortunately we did not, and given not all of the passengers got to see this small activity we decided to offer them complimentary tickets hoping they will come back on a better day.
