Report from Eldey: Tonight we had a good forecast and with no moonlight we had perfectly dark skies. Before we even left the harbour, we saw our first northern lights! They started as a faint glow in the direction of Reykjavik but soon started to arc across the whole side towards Esja as well. For most of the tour, they were dancing above us and all around us, fading sometimes and then growing stronger again. Towards the end of the tour, the lights started to fade and we stopped by the Imagine Peace Tower. Then, the auroras gave us one last show, making a big bright arc leading from the Imagine Peace Tower and out to sea! With calm seas, this was an incredible evening!
