Report from Eldey: This evening, we had a really promising forecast and, for once, it was right! As we sailed out of the harbour, we could already see a lot of stars above our heads. We didn't have to wait too long before our captain spotted some very very faint northern lights above Esja. We waited patiently, with our cameras ready, and they only got stronger. Soon enough, we could see a clear green arc across the sky starting from Esja. Through our cameras, we could even see some purple! Unfortunately, we eventually had to head back to the harbour, but the lights were still dancing on our right side as we sailed back in.
