Report from Eldey: Tonight the kp was at 3 which is active but on the different apps that measure the solar activity in real time it was actually kp 5 ! We had all the darkness we needed but unfortunately clouds where hiding the stars and the sky. From the start until the end we could see green northern lights above Esja, they were not always easy to see because of the clouds but were clearly appearing on our cameras and phones. The lights became stronger for 10-15 minutes getting more visible even through those clouds, before fading again. They stayed diffuse around us until we had to head back to the harbour.
