Report from Eldey: With a heart full of hope and a cup full of hot chocolate, we ventured into the darkness of the bay that bathes the shores of Reykjavík to try to spot the lovely aurora. The sea was calm and in it, we could almost see the reflection of the starry sky that we had above our heads! A few minutes after the safety speech a very dim light started to appear on top of Esja and as the playlist progressed the Northern Lights were more and more intense! We saw an arch forming above us and going towards the sea horizon, which lasted the whole tour. It did a few shapes, a few whisps and even broke down in some bits. A lovely evening was spent on board our lovely vessel.
