NORTHERN LIGHT CRUISE 21:00
Report from Eldey: This first of October we sailed out into the beginning of the spooky season but also our Northern Lights Cruise. The kp index was indicated low activity and it looked like the sky would be more on the cloudy side. However with these evenings you never know what will happen so its always worth the risk. We kept a close eye on the sky but unfortunately the predicted gaps stayed quite small. Our captain read us a poem in an attempt to coax out the Northern lights, but sadly they could not be tempted this evening. We stayed as long as we could still hoping for a glimmer of green light but eventually had to head back to harbour when time was up. As we were not successful in seeing the lights we offered everyone complimentary tickets, so they can return again for free.
