Report from Eldey: We headed out into the darkness of this frigid night in search of aurora. The Kp 2 got our hearts hopeful and with the help of some cozy overalls, they got warm. There were some clouds in the sky, but they were high so we could see some stars through them. A red glow in the distance from the most recent eruption near Grindavík was perceptible from our position. We waited a long time until some green glow appeared on our cameras but it never got strong enough to see it with our bear eyes. On the way back to the harbour, we offered our passengers complimentary tickets so they could have another opportunity in the foreseeable future.
