NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE I 21:00
Report from Hafsulan: With a Kp index of 1, clear skies, and stars above, we set sail hoping the auroras would shine bright tonight. As we left the harbor, we saw that faint Northern lights were starting to form above the mountain Esja. After a little while they did fade and so we stopped by Viðey Island to admire the Imagine Peace Tower. With crystal clear skies, the light of the tower beaming into the sky seemed endless. As we set sail further into the night, the northern lights were visible through the camera lens. Their strength enhanced so that we could faintly see them with our eyes. The faint lights remained consistent and as we awaited to see if they would strengthen, there were some shooting stars above us, which was a great surprise. Unfortunately, the lights did not strengthen, and so we handed out complimentary tickets, in the hope that another night will lead to stronger auroras.
