NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Eldey: The forecast for tonight was very promising! However, the beginning of the tour was full of snow showers and cloudy skies. We still were hopeful that the predictions of clear skies and good activity were correct and most people stayed outside and braved the tour for the whole time! After about an hour, the clouds did start to part so that we could start to see some stars but still had no signs of auroras. Unfortunately, we had to slowly start heading back to the harbour, but just as we headed round Viðey, we saw a faint arc of northern lights reaching across the sky from Esja. We decided to stay and be late back so that we could enjoy the lights of course! They grew stronger and started to dance above the mountains as well. You never know what will happen on these tours and can always get a surprise at the last minute!
