Few natural phenomena are as mesmerising as the aurora borealis. These shifting curtains of colour sweep across the polar skies, painting them in hues of green, pink, and violet. While their appearance may seem unpredictable, scientists have developed ways to understand when and where they might occur and by studying the activity levels, we can estimate the likelihood of seeing them.
NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
Report from Eldey: Tonight we sailed out under a night sky filled with stars. Clear skies provided promising conditions and the night was very calm too. We cozied up in our overalls and enjoyed the evening at sea. We kept checking for Northern lights, but alas we were unlucky with Northern light activity tonight. As we can do nothing about this, but offer our passengers another chance to observe this beautiful natural phenomenon aboard with us, we offered them complimentary tickets to try their luck once more.
