NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 2100
Report from Eldey: As we headed out we were really excited as there was a great forecast for the night. Upon leaving the harbour we looked up and were shocked to see a cloudy sky. But, things quickly changed as they so often do in Iceland. Before we knew it there was a mostly clear sky, importantly however, we had clear skies to the north and could see the big dipper. This was the direction the northern lights were going to begin and stay throughout the rest of our night. At times we had an incredible bright green arch above us and some great dancing lights above Mt Esja. It was a great show for us where we had lights to watch for the majority of this very cold tour. We then headed back to warm up with lights still shining as we entered the harbour.
