NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Eldey: After a quick snow storm, we sailed out of the harbour. There were some clouds in the sky, but plenty of gaps that we could see stars through. Soon after rounding the top of Viðey, we spotted a faint green cloud over Akranes. It was the start of some northern lights! We waited patiently and it paid off! The auroras grew stronger and greener. The arch spread from over the ocean to over the top of Esja. After a while the arch faded again as the clouds came back over with another short snow shower. Our night was not over though because, as the clouds parted again, the auroras were still there! Eventually, the northern lights faded again and we had to start our journey back to the harbour.
