Report from Eldey: We sailed out this evening away from the city lights in search of the Aurora Borealis. There was a forecast of no clouds and a kp index of 2. This may seem low however we have had breathtaking evenings on a kp 2. There were a few clouds as we sailed out, but it looked like these were thin high clouds so we were still hopeful. Just about halfway through the tour very faint lights started poking through the clouds. These lights would then fade and grow throughout the night. As they stayed more on the faded side we decided to give complimentary tickets. This way everyone has the chance to come again for free.
