NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE I 22:00
Report from Elding: Tonight sounded very promising as before leaving the harbour, the sky was pretty clear with no clouds, with a little bit of wind and we could see all the stars everywhere with some shooting stars sometimes. After 5 minutes leaving the harbour, we started to see a faint green colour in the sky very close to the mountain Esja. The kp index for tonight indicated 3 so mostly moderate and that is what we saw tonight ! The northern lights were faint at the beginning but we could see them on our cameras. At some point, they started to be very strong for few minutes and then being faint again for several times. They were all the time there during the tour and we needed to be very patient with them, waiting for stronger lights and we had quite courageous passengers staying outside in the cold during all the tour! On our way back to Reykjavik, we could still see the northern lights visible just with our naked eyes.
