NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Eldey and Hafsula: Tonight we sailed out on two boats again, eager to see what the night would hold. There were clear skies predicted and a kp index of 4! As we set sail we could see the stars which was already promising. In true Icelandic fashion however, the sky filled with clouds and then it even started snowing! It was very magical and definitely unexpected. We had to be patient and hope that the snow would stop if we wanted to see the aurora. Eventually it did stop snowing and the stars peaked through again and shortly after were joined by some very faint lights. At first we could only see them through our cameras but then our patience was rewarded and we saw some brighter northern lights and some were even dancing! We enjoyed them for a bit before having to head back to harbour. What a magical end of valentines day!
