Report from Eldey: Tonight we had a solid kp 3 and a sky with a bit of clouds and a bit of clear sky. Turns out the night was beautiful with bright stars and not so much clouds. We waited maybe an hour before seeing the northern lights starting. First they were very faded and barely visible with the naked eye. We patiently observed and finally saw them becoming much brighter and extending towards the sky. There was a particular area above the mountain Esja where they got intense with a beautiful green and some purple. An arch was leaving this area to disappear far away behind us. They faded and we came back to the harbour. The arch got quite bright meanwhile we were heading back to the harbour and we could enjoy them on the way.
