NORTHERN LIGHT CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Eldey: We board under a thick snow this evening, giving us a bit Christmas vibes but of course its a bit worrying for northern lights sighting. The KP index was on 2 which is a bit low but we had good hopes that the clouds would clear up and let us see the stars. After 15-20 minutes of sailing there was almost no more clouds, we found the perfect gap. And very soon appeared the Northern Lights that grew stronger and stronger until we had a big green line above our head, going from the mountain Esja in the north to the south. The intensity of the lights was still increasing and we started to see dancing northern lights. Truly beautiful. After a while the lights started fading a bit, being still clearly visible but less impressive. The clouds came back and before we went back to the harbour, we still saw dancing lights above the mountain.
