NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed out under quite some cloud cover but good solar activity. The forecasted gaps in the clouds made us excited to see how the evening would unfold and so, with a hot chocolate in hand we waited patiently once out at sea. After a while some gaps did come and go and while some starts did poke through, the northern lights remained elusive this evening. For this reason we handed out complementary tickets to all passengers, giving them another chance at seeing this amazing phenomenon.

Few natural phenomena are as mesmerising as the aurora borealis. These shifting curtains of colour sweep across the polar skies, painting them in hues of green, pink, and violet. While their appearance may seem unpredictable, scientists have developed ways to understand when and where they might occur and by studying the activity levels, we can estimate the likelihood of seeing them.
