Report from Eldey: The forecasted Kp3 and a clear sky were a good sign for us to sail out of the harbour and head out into the darkness. We gazed upon the stars and kept our eyes peeled for anything above our heads. Soon the Northern Lights started to fade in and we were able to see them very clearly!! They were amazingly green, and they kept glowing this radioactive colour in the starry night. At some point they also danced on top of Esja and formed at least 3 big arches that stretched from the top of this mountain all the way to the ocean. Unfortunately the time was over and we started to head back to the Old Harbour of Reykjavik with a heart filled with joy and a belly full of hot chocolate.
