We are proud to reveal a long awaited addition to our selection of whale watching tours in Iceland and a new port of operation and adventure in North Iceland. Elding Whale Watching will start sailing from Akureyri, North Iceland, next spring, every day from the 15th of May 2016 until the 30th of September. With over 15 years at sea and over 800.000 happy clients in South Iceland, we feel that the spectacular whales and wild life in the Eyjafjörður Fjord are a natural and exciting next step for us.
We have bought a new vessel for Akureyri. It is the only high speed, specially modified, whale watching ship in Iceland. Capable of carrying 200 persons with spectacular views and in comfort, at speeds that guarantees availability of whale watching tours from Akureyri, where ever the whales might be located. Eyjafjörður is not only the natural habitat of the famous “Eyjafjord humpback whales”, it is also an picturesque and calm fjord, surrounded by towering mountains, little fishing villages and lush countryside... ... just under the Arctic circle and the midnight sun.
