With strong winds and noticeable swell, we searched the waters around the islands and into the scenic Hvalfjörður. Although the views were beautiful, no whales were sighted today, and all our guests were issued complimentary tickets to return for another chance to meet the wildlife of Faxaflói. The last tour of the day was cancelled due to weather.

We sailed out in calm seas with some gaps in the clouds. The forecast was promising, but despite our patience, we only caught a glimpse of the northern lights. Eventually we returned to the harbour and provided complimentary tickets to all our guests.
We sailed out from the harbour and decided to stay close to the coast due to the wind. We saw many birds, rainbows, and even the first snow of the season on the mountains nearby. We didn't managed to see any whales or dolphins today, so complimentary tickets were issued to all guests. The rest of today's tours were cancelled due to worsening weather.

Tonight, we sailed behind Viðey island to protect us from the wind and waited as the sky started to open up. Unfortunately, the auroras were not cooperating this evening, so we issued complimentary tickets, for our guests to join us again!
We enjoyed calm but chilly seas today with sightings of minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and a curious humpback whale that swam right up to our boat. The dolphins were playful, leaping alongside us, while the humpback performed a few pec slaps before diving beneath the waves. A crisp and lively day at sea, full of wonderful encounters!

Tonight's forecast promised us a good show, although there were some clouds as we sailed out. We positioned ourselves behind Viðey island and waited.. Unfortunately the lights failed us and so we issued complimentary tickets to all passengers.
This morning we encountered a friendly minke whale close to Viðey island, which stayed with us for some time before disappearing into the waves. Later, another minke whale made a brief appearance further out in the bay but was too shy to stay for long. To give everyone a better chance to enjoy longer sightings, we issued complimentary tickets to all.

We headed out into the bay with partly covered skies, but minute by minute the sky covered up in clouds.. Unfortunately that stayed like this for the rest of the tour, so we gave out complimentary tickets for our very patient passengers.

Even before the tour started we could see northern lights in the night sky. But as soon as we sailed out into the bay, they exploded! We saw swirls, arches in nice green colour, but also a little red stripe underneath the green. Amazing night out!
We enjoyed calm seas and clear skies today, with close encounters of a curious minke whale surfacing repeatedly near the boat this morning. In the afternoon, a playful humpback whale stole the show with dramatic pectoral slaps and elegant fluke dives under the sun. A bright and beautiful day at sea filled with energy, calm seas, and happy passengers.
