Elding team receives Neyðarkallinn 2025 statue in support of the local SAR teams

We are proud to continue our long-standing support for the Icelandic Search and Rescue Teams (ICE-SAR) and today received one of their collectible "Neyðarkallinn" statues for 2025, contributing to their annual fundraising campaign.

These selfless volunteers dedicate their time, skill, and courage to helping others in need - often braving harsh conditions and difficult circumstances to ensure the safety of people both on land and at sea. Their work is entirely unpaid, yet it is vital for communities across Iceland.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Neyðarkallinn fundraising campaign, which began in 2006. The campaign has since become an important annual tradition, allowing the public to support local rescue teams by purchasing the iconic figurine. The profit from sales goes directly to the country’s rescue teams and accident prevention units, helping strengthen their operations, training, and equipment.

Over the years, Icelanders have shown great understanding and appreciation for the work of these rescue teams. When an emergency call comes in, they are always quick to respond - bringing their manpower, equipment, technology, and expertise to those in need.

We are deeply grateful for the work these brave men and women do and encourage everyone to support them in any way they can. Every contribution helps ensure that help is always close at hand when it’s needed most. You too can support ICE-SAR by donating here.
