Report from Elding: Again, we left from Grindavík. We had a delay caused by some technical difficulties but once we finally sailed out, the sun started shining! We headed into the east and after a while, we started to see the first orcas! There turned out to be two pods of them, one with around 5 animals and another one with around 7 or 8. Very nice. They were slapping their flukes, leaping and even breaching, making big splashes and seemed quite playful. There were two males among them and one really small one. What a nice tour after the disappointment this morning. So despite the windy conditions and some difficulties in the beginning, all turned out really well. And all is well that ends well, right?

Report from Elding: This morning, we went out from Grindavík due to rough seas caused by strong northerly winds in the Faxaflói bay. We sailed for almost three hours without finding any whales. There were some fulmars and northern gannets present but that was about it. What a disappointment. We gave our passengers complimentary tickets and hope to see them soon again.

Birds seen on today's tours include: Northern gannets, fulmars, kittiwakes, arctic terns, common guillemots, lesser black backed gulls, arctic skuas, greater skuas and storm petrels.
