Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We went out the harbour this afternoon to search for the cetaceans we encountered in the morning. Mostly traveling west, searching the bay for minke whales and other cetaceans. The sea was so calm as it hasn't been in a long while. We got lucky very soon. Encountered several different harbour porpoises and two minke whales. The first whale was rather calm, seemed to rest a bit, which is why we saw it several times until in vanished again. On our way back, we got lucky again, encountering a minke whale just in front of the boat on our travel home to Reykjavik. We were also granted a last quick look at another harbour porpoise.

Report from Hafsúlan: This morning we went out from the Reykjavik harbour in search for cetaceans. It was a beautiful morning, sunny and barely any clouds. We traveled west for most of the time, where we saw a minke whale. But unfortunately is was gone as fast as it appeared. After that we went north for a short while discovering a harbour porpoise. In hope of finding bigger cetaceans we left this area and found a pod of white- beaked dolphin. They didn't seem to be disturbed by our presence, came up to the boat very closely. Unfortunately we ran out of time and had to leave them. Overall a very good morning with amazing weather and animal.
