Due to the weather conditions we have decided to cancel our 09:00 classic whale watching tour. We will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tour. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

COVID-19: Keep in mind that passengers and crew are asked to ensure their own hygiene and safety at all times. Washing hands thoroughly with soap and using a hand sanitiser is advised. Masks are not mandatory but are recommended in areas where keeping distance from others is not possible.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey : It was such a sunny afternoon we had to go have a look on the bay. The sea was choppy but we still enjoyed the sailing, and the wind was getting weaker. The captain started sheltering near the landscape until Akranes. We went more out then until we saw a blow. We approached and saw a humpback whale doing a nice fluke dive. We stayed waiting for the animal to resurface when we also spotted from the distance a white-beaked dolphin jumping. We decided to stay with the humpback and could see it many times surfacing a few times before going for a dive that was generally 4-7 minutes. We saw a blow faraway and we decided to let this whale alone, after a while circling we saw 3 white-beaked dolphins that quickly disappeared as well as a minke whale that surfaced two times swimming fast before fading in the waves. We went back home under a beautiful blue sky, admiring the landscape and taking a sunbath.
