CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: After an eventful morning, we headed out again! Westerly winds continued creating an adventurous time at sea, but that didn't stop us from encountering wildlife. Before the half-way mark of the trip, we had already briefly encountered 2 harbour porpoises and a minke whale not far from the boat! Highlight of the trip for most of our passengers was most likely the humpback whale that beautifully showed off its fluke to us three time. While we were with this whale, another minke showed up! Everyone was already happy with all these sightings in front of the stunning mountain backdrop and many sea birds all around! On our way back to port, we were lucky enough to see another three harbour porpoises swimming in the waves and spotted the third minke whale of the trip. Truly a memorable trip at sea!

Report from Eldey: We headed out in sunny weather, it was a little windy, but the swell was quite high and rough. Passengers were partly having fun in the roller-coaster conditions. As we were sailing out and admiring the beautiful landscape of Iceland with the "sugar" coated mountains we say 2 pods of each 3-4 harbour porpoises. They were swimming past us and the second pod was crossing our way in a synchronized row. Super cute ! Then we had to sail for quite some time, but then we found 2 humpback whales. One was close to us, the other a little further away. The one closer to us was surfacing a lot and also showing us its beautiful fluke! All of a sudden 1 minke whale showed up for 2 times and then disappeared again. We stayed with the humpback a little longer and then we made our way back in more favourable sea conditions. :)
