Tour at 09:00
Report from Eldey: It was a fresh and slightly breezy day on heading out into the bay today. The sea wasn´t too choppy and the sky clear. We searched for a long time to find cetaceans but unfortunately, there were none to be found. So our passengers were offered complimentary tickets so they can come back and hopefully experience the wonders of the Icelandic cetaceans in all their glory. However, throughout the tour we were kept entertained by the beautiful Icelandic landscape which surrounded us and the bird life that popped up now and again, including the northern fulmar, northern gannet and the brightly coloured oyster catcher.
- Tess Hudson
Birds seen on todays tour: oyster catchers, eider duck, northern fulmar, northern gannet, icelandic gull and cormorant.
