Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: The snow fall fell on an off throughout the day but when it fell, it fell alot hindering our visibility. It only lasted a short while however and once we were out into the bay the snow stopped falling and the heavens opened to a colourful sky, clouds of different grays and even a rainbow. You could see the snow falling in the distance though so we prepared ourselves with warm clothing and a positive attitute. We were lucky on the way out we found a small pod of white-beaked dolphins, maybe just 3 or 4. They were not in a whale watching mood and they tried their best to head away from the boats. We got the hint and left them in peace. They were unfortunately the only cetaceans to be seen on the tour so we offered our passengers complimentary tickets to come again for free in the next two years.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: It was a winter´s morning, huge snowflakes falling with very little wind. It was so beautiful. The weather during the tour was constantly changing from snowfall to blue skies and sunshine to hail to rain. It always amazes me how quickly the weather changes. The sea´s had a strong rolling swell to it that cause some green faces on board but there was no wind. We had a nice variety of seabirds including: eider ducks, sooty shearwaters, common guillemots. The sun rise was also amazing, strong and vibrant, creating a nice winters warm glow over the birds and mountains. Unfortunately no whale or dolphins were encountered so we offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope they will be more successful on their next sea adventure.
